Our days at home getting to know each other, Leigh and I, are filled with laughter, tears, milk, naps (mostly for Baby, not for Mommy!), more milk and lots of laundry. But today Leigh discovered a new emotion: Anger. I presented him with a mirror and he stared in wide-eyed wonder at this new little baby staring back at him. The Baby-in-the-Mirror seemed nice enough, and even cooed back when Leigh cooed at him. However things took a turn for the worse when Baby-in-the-Mirror frowned. So to help my son on the road to self-awareness while preventing body-wrenching, ear-piercing temper tantrums, I must limit mirror time to about 7-10 minutes per day.
